ECB Euro Reference Exchange Rates

Due to Regulation (EU) 2019/518, new transparency rules apply and we are obliged to make the entire currency conversion fees available on our homepage as a percentage mark-up on the last available euro reference exchange rate of the European Central Bank (ECB). This information requirement applies to the following currencies:

  • Bulgarian lev (BGN)
  • Danish krone (DKK)
  • Icelandic krona (ISK)
  • Norwegian krone (NOK)
  • Polish Zloty (PLN)
  • Romanian Leu (RON)
  • Swedish krona (SEK)
  • Swiss franc (CHF) (only in Liechtenstein)
  • Czech koruna (CZK)
  • Hungarian Forint (HUF)

This is not a new fee, the exchange rates and fees originally agreed with you will continue to apply.

Since 19.4.2021, RBI has provided cardholders with a notification of the total currency conversion fees it charges for the conversion of the amount to be paid into Euro, expressed as a percentage mark-up on the last available Euro reference exchange rates of the European Central Bank, immediately after RBI has received the first payment order denominated in a specific currency of the European Economic Area ("EEA") other than the Euro. The cardholder receives the notification by SMS to the mobile phone number provided by him.
