Easy and smart payment with the mobile payment app from Raiffeisen: RaiPay

Pay quickly and conveniently with your smartphone

RaiPay is available free of charge for all operating systems in the respective stores. The payment function is only available for Android users and HMS users. All other features in RaiPay are available for all operating systems.

This is how easy it is to pay today

Contactless payment with the RaiPay app is done via the NFC function of your smartphone. All Raiffeisen CardService credit cards that have been loaded and activated by you can be used on your Android smartphone for this purpose.

Amount under 50 EUR

  1. Activate the display
  2. Hold your smartphone up to the payment terminal

Amount over 50 EUR

  1. Activate the display or open RaiPay
  2. Sharing with PIN or fingerprint/facial recognition
  3. Hold your smartphone up to the payment terminal

Never again "You get it later"

With this function, you can quickly and easily send money to a desired Austrian recipient card (debit and/or credit card).

The first time, add the recipient card using NFC and enter the name. Everything is already saved for the next time.

No registration of the payee is required.

Digital customer and advantage cards

With the loyalty function, you have all your loyalty cards available in RaiPay at all times. To digitize, scan the physical loyalty card or type in the barcode number.

All cards and wallets at a glance

RaiPay provides you with a simple and clear overview of all your digital cards in payment wallets and connections to online merchants or subscription services. These can be displayed directly in the app.

  • Digital cards in payment wallets (e.g. RaiPay) and wearables (Garmin Pay)
  • Card connections to online retailers (e.g. Amazon) and subscription services (e.g. Spotify, Netflix)

Need cash? No problem.

With RaiPay, you can also withdraw contactless cash at NFC-enabled ATMs. This requires entering the PIN of your physical card.

It's as simple as this:

  1. Open RaiPay App
  2. Start cash withdrawals with "Pay now"
  3. Hold your smartphone by the NFC symbol at the ATM

Payment settings

In Settings / Security and PIN / Payment Settings, you can choose between the following settings:

Smart payment (standard)

  • Amounts up to 50 EUR can be paid by simply holding out the smartphone (activated display).
  • Higher amounts must be released by authorization.
  • Payment can be started at any time, regardless of the amount, by tapping on "Pay now" in RaiPay.

Pay fast

  • Amounts up to 50 EUR can be paid by simply holding out the smartphone (activated display).
  • Higher amounts must be released by authorization (by means of a few clicks on the smartphone) and holding them up to the POS terminal again.
  • The "Pay now" button is no longer required.

Approve any payment in RaiPay

  • All amounts are released by clicking the "Pay now" button and holding them up to the POS terminal.

Link to My ELBA and activate card

  1. Open the RaiPay app and approve the required permissions.
  2. Set and confirm your RaiPay PIN. If desired, activate authentication using biometrics.
  3. Connect RaiPay to My ELBA to load your cards into RaiPay.
  4. Click on the button "Activate digital card"*.

Your digital cards are now ready for mobile banking with your Android smartphone.

*) Alternatively, the cards can also be added from the card overview of the My ELBA app by clicking on the "Add to RaiPay" button (NFC must be activated on your smartphone).

The download and use of the RaiPay app is free of charge.

Paying with RaiPay is absolutely secure, as the same high security standards are used that Raiffeisen customers are used to when making card payments.

The agreed credit card limits also apply to payments and cash withdrawals with your smartphone.

The RaiPay PIN is used to verify your identity, e.g. for payments over EUR 50,-, when the maximum limit for consecutive low-value payments (EUR 125) is reached, to unlock the start screen to see card details, available limit or transactions. The RaiPay PIN is a four-digit number and can be replaced by a biometric identifier (e.g. fingerprint) to make RaiPay easier to use.
